Forbidden East promises extremely rare Asian erotica and this is what pulls me in. The tour also helps. From the outside this looks like a fantastic site. Design-wise, things start to look more basic when you get inside the site. The layout and navigation just doesn't have the same energy and it doesn't give me a great vibe once inside.

Fortunately, regular updates are immediately noticeable, and thankfully there are Japanese and other Asians profiled in school uniforms being tied up, and all manner of thrilling BDSM things. There are four updates a month, although movies and photos are alternated. This means two movies and two new photosets every month. Still, there are 122 movies and the same number of sets. Add to this another 153 photos in a library that consists of sets from some top Japanese photographers, a collection of 13 Suguira movies and 15 hentai films, and you've got yourself a great selection to choose.

While there aren't bonus sites, there are plenty of bonuses. Some I have already mentioned, but anticipate games, 18 DVD downloads, five flicks for your portable device, at least one instructional movie and a fiction and story archive from Forbidden East. All of this content is profiled, but there is an archive section where you will find even more photos.

It's hard to determine how much content is totally exclusive, but you should note that some of it is. Photos are very good, but then they are hand-picked for the site and many of them have been colour corrected. These aren't brightly lit photos. They have a darker edge that suits the nature of the bondage. They're razor sharp and at 1500x1188 resolution, you won't mist a twist of rope or anything else for that matter. These are exciting and collectible images of hot, submissive Asian. There aren't Zip file downloads and this would be my biggest complaint regarding the pictures.

Movies can be streamed and downloaded. There is an embedded Flash player so that you can instantly watch any preferred selection. There are also WMV (1320kbps, 480x360), QuickTime (1730kbps, 480x360) and iPod downloads. Only the iPods (820kbps, 640x480) are available in full length. The remaining formats are broken down into 15-minute chunks, which will put a damper on things for some potential members. However, I was impressed with the clarity. The Windows Media Videos may be a little small, but the sharpness of the video is great. Also, the productions themselves are really well done. I've seen some Japanese bondage sites that just deliver clips of the bondage and little else. Here you get full-blown productions. There aren't subtitles, which purists will appreciate. However, it's not too difficult to imagine dialogue. The action speaks for itself and it's sizzling hot. You can anticipate pixelization of genitals, which is par for the course when watching real Japanese porn. Final Verdict

Forbidden East delivers real Japanese BDSM and bondage films and the quality of the episodes is very good even if the screen size isn't the largest. There is certainly enough content here, the models are oh-so-sexy and the tortures that they're subjected to will have you basking in the glory that is Japanese bondage. The update schedule is good, but anticipate some of this content to be non-exclusive.
