My Opinion About ForbiddenEast:
When I arrive in the members' area of Forbidden East, I come to realize that I've hit upon a site that has been around since 1999. Immediately, I expect to find a lot, but I don't expect to find any hardcore Asian underground content. I'm curious to uncover all the promises erotic secrets of the Far East and it doesn't look like it will be too difficult a journey.
The members' page has a welcome message and the hostess, Kiko Lee, promises weekly updates. To the left of the message is the menu, which delivers photos, movies, chat and story categories. I suppose the stories are the extras on offer because there aren't any bonus sites listed. There are 47 short erotic stories and three novellas. Each story comes with a photo illustrating the main theme, although there isn't anything particularly Asian about the selection.
I wasn't able to access the live chat and I tried several times during the course of my visit. Also, I wasn't able to confirm the update schedule since there aren't any content dates for any photos or videos. My feeling is that if a site isn't listing the dates that they add content, then in all likelihood they probably aren't adding new stuff as frequently as they'd like us to believe. In any case, the photo gallery is totally loaded with images. There are 230 individual set links to bondage and fetish supermodels. The remaining content is divided into 10 specific categories. I'm not exactly sure why the bondage and model galleries were listed the way they were, but no matter. There appears to be 722 sets in total. However, some supposed sets are only single photos. I'd estimate there are over 300 sets, but I can't give an exact number without clicking absolutely every link. Five of these are surprisingly hardcore. I say surprisingly because I didn't even expect one. Most of the photos have a bondage or fetish element and many also have an exotic glamour look to them. The photography is certainly excellent and frankly I've yet to come across an site with this much Asian content. True sets (as opposed to the solo images posing as sets) contain around 60 pictures.
The style of photography does change up quite a bit, which leads me to wonder just how much content is exclusive and how much is not exclusive. The largest photo that I came across was 1200x852. However, this set, which was called 'Bondage Gallery 43', looked like it might have been scanned from a print magazine or a series of older photos. Other galleries, like Kiko Lee's, contained super crisp images, but they were very small on enlargement. Nonetheless, variety is definitely something you can look forward to from the photos and most of them will have your mouth watering. The chicks are truly gorgeous!
You get five movie categories including 12 rare Japanese Rope Bondage videos by Shibari Master Suguira. There are over 100 varied DVDs and movie clips (featuring a lot of Caucasian women) in the Forbidden East movie theatre. You'll find 11 movies, 21 clips and interactive games, and seven photo galleries in the Hentai World theatre. There are live sex shows and other interactive links in the multimedia gallery and there are also VODs in the new movie section. Some content can be downloaded and some steamed. Depending on which section you're in, there are 688kbps, 320x240 WMV streams and 566kbps 640x480 WMV downloads. There are also Java and RM feeds. I wasn't totally jumping for joy regarding the qualities. However, I did appreciate the rare footage of Suguira's work even if the section contained brief films. Again, the average length depends on what gallery you are in and movies can be as brief as five-minutes or as long as an hour.
Final Verdict:
Forbidden East has a huge amount of content. Some is exclusive, but a lot of it seems to be non-exclusive. I really wouldn't mind this so much, but the video quality isn't fabulous and some films feature white chicks rather than Asians. I can't really justify giving a huge score for this site and still Forbidden East does house one of the larger selections of Asian photography that I've come across. Major fans of Asian beauties would be taking a chance with this site because I can't guarantee that some content can't be found elsewhere
